Plot & characters
CommWealy
In the 2060s, just when populations are enjoying hard-won global peace and ecological balance,
the world is rent apart by natural disasters that threaten a geo-political meltdown and outbreaks
of territorial wars.

For global leaders the solution is clear: Dispatch the fimans. Thousands of these unsuspecting,
young, genetically modified new-breed humans are enlisted and tested to the extreme to
determine the 'best of breed'. It is they who will form an elite task force to colonize newly created
Near-Earth territories -- but, that is not their sole role.

The scientists among them are to study the underlying causes of Earth's present and past geo-catastrophes to discover what is driving the planet towards ultimate self-destruction.

Within this unfolding vista of our future, Mei, Steve, Sashia and others battle with discoveries about themselves as well as the extraordinary worlds they must now inhabit.
